Pakistan's foreign policy towards India has always been troubled, but that does not mean that Pakistan should ignore its position on Kashmir in order to restore relations with India.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also spoke to the visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov about this matter in the morning. Now the Foreign Office has said that Pakistan wants to have meaningful talks with India on bilateral relations but Pakistan's position on the Kashmir issue cannot be changed.
"We believe that the Kashmir issue can only be resolved with the interest of the international community," the Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez said.
Speaking further in this regard, the Foreign Office spokesman said that we encourage the mediation of any country, including the United States.
Earlier, the decision of the Economic Co-ordination Committee to import sugar and yarn from India was withdrawn after opposition from some ministers in the federal cabinet. Pakistan reiterated its position that there would be no trade between the two countries until India's special status of Kashmir was restored.
Resources told to Champs Write that the State Department's statement is even more significant because the US government's National Intelligence Council has expressed concern that there could be a protracted war between Pakistan and India. But the report also says that the people of Pakistan and India do not want war at all
The poor economic situation of the two countries also proves that there should be no war between the two countries. Pakistan has always expressed its desire to establish relations with India on an equal footing and has never stopped
But the support of the zealous people of Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan's foreign policy which cannot be ignored by any government. Now we have to see how the two countries resolve the Kashmir issue keeping in view their economic situation
