Stop Being Crown Prince!

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, once said to a very powerful Personality in Pakistan, "Pakistanis make the impossible possible in our country and achieve incredible success. Why Pakistanis do not achieve such successes in their homeland?"

Hearing this question, the powerful personality of Pakistan smiled and said that you are the only crown prince in your country, every order of yours has the status of law and no one can think of disobeying your orders. But in Pakistan, everyone thinks of themselves as Crown Prince, so there is a big difference between your situation and ours.

In other words, this important non-political figure of Pakistan tried to convince the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi that his country has a dictatorship and Pakistan has a democracy. This is the difference that our political rulers have not yet understood and their role model is still the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.

Muhammad bin Salman's style of government may be very good for Saudi Arabia but his style of government cannot be made a role model in Pakistan because Pakistan has a parliamentary democracy. The PTI and its allies run the government at the center and the PPP government runs Sindh.

If the Prime Minister and the Law Minister want to file a case against a Supreme Court judge here, then the FIA chief reminds them of the constitution under which Pakistan's system is being run. When the Prime Minister and the Law Minister prepare a reference against this judge and send it to the Supreme Judicial Council through the President, the Supreme Court rejects the reference.

Political opponents of the government allege that the NAB is retaliating against them on the orders of the Prime Minister.

The NAB repeatedly arrests opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif in the National Assembly and the courts release him every time, but the desire to become a crown prince grows instead of diminishes. As this desire grows, so does the political tension in Pakistan. At a time when the world is fighting the corona virus, we Pakistanis are fighting each other.

Think of the mentality that, instead of uniting the government and the opposition to fight the corona virus, ordered the arrest of Javed Latif on charges of treason. The desire to arrest anyone who openly criticizes the government in the media will not take Pakistan back and forth. Pakistan was not built by a Crown Prince but by a politician, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Pakistan can only be run under the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam. But unfortunately, we want to make Pakistan not the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam but the Pakistan of Muhammad bin Salman.

Muhammad bin Salman is our friend. We value him as a friend but we cannot accept monarchy in Pakistan. The solution to Pakistan's problems is not dictatorship. The solution to Pakistan's problems is more democracy. First we have to solve the problems of Pakistan, only then we can solve the problems of the world. Ironically, we are at war with each other in Pakistan, but sometimes we go out to make peace with Saudi Arabia and Iran, and sometimes we have talks between the Afghan Taliban and the United States.

The desire for peace in Afghanistan is very good but Pakistan should play this role impartially. Sometimes Pakistan becomes an ally of the Afghan Taliban, sometimes the United States and then we hear that it is very easy to deal with Ashraf Ghani but it is very difficult to deal with the Taliban.

Relations between Pakistan and the Taliban leadership in Doha have been strained since the Taliban refused to attend the Istanbul conference. The Afghan Taliban say they signed an agreement after lengthy negotiations with the United States to withdraw troops from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021, but that the Biden administration had to withdraw troops by September 11 instead of May 1. Has been announced.

The Taliban consider this a violation of a written agreement, so they refused to attend the Istanbul Conference, which was scheduled to begin on April 24. The purpose of the conference was to persuade the Taliban to join a coalition government.

The Taliban believe they have not been resisting the United States and its allies for the past 21 years because they want to join a coalition government in the end. Want to do Their inflexible attitude is not unexpected.

When Pakistan changed its policy on the Taliban after 9/11, the Afghan ambassador, Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, was stripped naked and handed over to the United States. Mullah Zaeef spent many years in US captivity and after his release wrote a book in which he said that Pakistan's powerful institutions should never be trusted.

Pakistan released Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar in 2018 after eight years in prison, expecting him to now negotiate with the United States and establish peace in Afghanistan on US terms. Pakistan should have avoided becoming the "godfather" of the Taliban.

The Pakistani authorities could not become the godfather of the Taliban or the crown prince of the Pakistanis. Now the Taliban are being told to return to peace talks or else no one will be worse than us. He replied that if we did not come under the threat of superpower, we would not come under your threat. We should not consider the Taliban as Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Jahangir Tareen to make a few cases, send them to jail and everything will be fine.

If you can't handle your opposition as a Crown Prince, how will you handle the Taliban? Therefore, we join hands and request you not to try to become a Crown Prince, to solve Pakistan's problems in a democratic way, not only to try to be a role model for the Taliban but for the whole of Afghanistan.
